Branded pens: what they cost and which to choose for each use
A pen with your logo costs from DKK 3.00 per unit, including printing. The same logo does not look the same on a pen handed out at a trade show as on one given to a client, and it does not need to: each one does a different job. Here you can see today’s prices, the most common uses with real models for each one, and what is worth knowing before you order.
How much do custom pens cost?
Unit price with your logo in one colour in the standard print area, excluding VAT and delivery. The price drops as quantities rise because the machine set-up is spread across more units.

For trade shows, training and large giveaways
When pens are handed out by the hundred, what matters is the unit price and that the logo can be read from a metre away. A coloured plastic barrel with the logo in pad print or UV digital print does both and keeps delivery weight down.
Choose the barrel colour with the logo colour in mind: a dark logo on a white or light barrel is always clear; navy on black disappears. If your logo has gradients or very fine lettering, UV digital print is better: with pad printing, at that size it can fill in.

If the campaign talks about sustainability, the pen needs to show it without small print: bamboo, wheat straw, paper, or recycled aluminium and plastic. When the recycled material is certified, the product page says so.
On bamboo and wood, engraving leaves the logo in a toasted shade that suits the material; pad printing adds colour when the logo needs it.

A pen used in front of other people needs to feel substantial and write well. Laser engraving on metal leaves the logo in the tone of the metal itself, discreet and hard-wearing, and that is what keeps it in a suit pocket.
Do not expect a dark engraving on a lacquered metal pen: the laser reveals the metal underneath, which is usually silver. If it is going into a welcome pack, pair it with a notebook in the same shade: they can go in the same order.

For an anniversary, a thank-you or a key client, the pen brand and the presentation matter as much as the logo. A rollerball or fountain pen from a recognised writing brand, or a boxed set, can be given without explanation.
On these models the logo is kept small and placed where it does not compete with the manufacturer’s brand. Some can also include each person’s name: mention it when you request a quote.

The minimum order is DKK 747.50 excluding VAT per quote, and you can mix models to reach it: the trade show pen and the client pen can go in the same order. The prices on this page are per unit, with your logo in one colour in the standard print area, excluding VAT and delivery; extra colours or another technique are adjusted in the quote.
