A summer giveaway people use in full view

Branded hand fans have a rare advantage in merchandise: they open up, are held at face height and can be seen from several metres away. At a summer event or in a hot exhibition hall, a hundred fans with your brand on them means a hundred printed surfaces moving around the room, and people use them the same day they are handed out. The usable area is the leaf, fabric or paper stretched between the ribs; on a paddle fan, the whole card panel.

The rule that works best is the same as for other promotional gifts for businesses: your brand should be noticeable, not shouty. A leaf with a corporate pattern or illustration and a small logo in one corner gets kept; a fan with a giant logo and slogan on both sides gets binned on the way out. If the fan relates to a specific event, print the event artwork: it is much more likely to be kept for longer.

What we need from you for the quote

The fans are not in the online catalogue: they are produced from your brief. With this, we prepare the quote and mock-up:

• Quantity per model. The minimum quantity depends on the mould or die and we will confirm it with the quote, and the unit price comes down as the run gets larger.
• Model and material: paddle fan, plastic folding fan, paper, bamboo or wood.
• Design: just the logo or the whole leaf printed, one side or both, and the colour of the ribs.
• Presentation: loose, in a fabric pouch or in an individual box with card.
• Date of the event. In the months before summer there are more orders, so it is best to finalise the design with time to spare.
• Logo in vector format (SVG, AI or PDF); if you only have PNG or JPG, we will check it and tell you if it will work.

How it works

   Quote and mock-up

   Within 24 working hours you receive the quote and a free mock-up of the fan open, with your design and the branding in position.

2. 2

   Approval and payment

   You pay when you approve the mock-up, before production. If you want to see the finish in person, ask us about samples.

   Production and delivery

   Usually it takes two or three weeks from approval; pouches, boxes or a custom rib colour can make it a little longer. We ship with tracking to one address or split across several sites, throughout the EU.

Where they fit and what to pair them with

The clearest use is for summer events: trade fairs, conferences in hot halls, presentations on terraces or in gardens. That is where the paddle fan and the plastic folding fan fit, handed out in volume as part of event merchandise for trade fairs and conferences. The second use is internal: company celebrations, team summer parties or open days, where a bamboo or wooden fan works well as a table gift.
