A rigid cover that holds up
The hard cover protects the pages in a bag and lets you write standing up, without a desk. The notebook lasts to the final page.
Ribbon, elastic and pen
Many models come with a ribbon bookmark and an elastic closure. Some are sold as a set with a matching pen.
Recycled and FSC options
Some notebooks use FSC-certified paper and recycled cover materials, a few with GRS or RCS certification.

It works well in welcome kits for new employees, as a giveaway at trade fairs and conferences or as an end-of-year gift for clients. A5 is the most common size; A6 and A7 fit in a jacket pocket.
Cover materials and how they are marked
Most covers are covered board; there are also imitation leather, cork, stone paper and recycled plastic. Inside, ruled pages predominate, with models in plain, dotted or squared paper.
On imitation leather and board, laser engraving and hot foil stamping give a restrained, long-lasting mark. For full-colour logos on the cover there is UV digital printing, and on some models a PU label or resin dome is applied. The catalogue price already includes one-colour marking in the standard area.
How to choose a personalised hardback notebook
- Size and page count
- A5 suits the desk and meetings; A6 and A7 are for carrying with you. If it will be used daily, choose a notebook with more than 160 pages.
- Cover material
- Board for a practical gift, imitation leather for a more formal finish, and cork or recycled plastic if you want a sustainable option.
- Marking technique
- Laser engraving or hot foil stamping for a discreet, elegant logo; UV digital printing or screen printing if the logo includes colour.
- Extras and certifications
- Check whether it has a ribbon bookmark, elastic closure or an included pen, and look for certifications such as FSC, GRS, RCS or amfori BSCI.
